Ug.

So based on the fact that I got NO responses.

I'm going to just naturally assume that no one wants a christmas card from me.

Which, while very disappointing, saves me money on postage, I suppose.

I do! I didn't see your post

I just don't do Xmas cards, so I didn't see the point in asking for one, sorry! :-/

I don't celebrate x-mas, and I think x-mas cards are death on trees. Sorry.

my lack of a response is definitely nothing against you.
I feel guilty if someone sends me a card when I didn't send them one.

but yet I can never think of anything to write in a card (and don't like supporting the overpriced greeting card mafia), so I never send them out. (thus, I never give out my address in card posts)

I didn't see your post, sorry.

You shouldn't measure your friends by the number of replies you get, Jess. People are already being saturated with dozens and dozens of online blogs and e-mail chains that they don't respond as frequently as they used to, or read every post as often. Even I've noticed this trend myself, and it does irk me a bit.

If you really want get a Christmas mailing list going, the best way is to just start off by sending cards to the people you actually like by late November/first week of December. This gives them time to send a nice card back to you before Christmas. Please don't be hostile to your friends, we all love the cool Jessica who takes everything in stride.

It's not that I don't love you. It's just that I hate Christmas. I'm sort of an old fashioned type and for every gift, card, or even thoughtful gesture done in the name of some comercialized holidy, I feel compelled to reciprocate. Mainly because of money, but also other things, I am not a fan of feeling obligated. Mostly I just hate that a holiday of family, friends, good eats, and maybe small, handmade gifts, has turned into a glutting orgy of consumerism.

It seems inappropriate concidering how little we know of each other. Compile that with my dislike of putting people out I couldn't *shrug* I am weird, I realize.

didn't see the post

but, more importantly, i don't celebrate christmas in the commercial sense

so no cards or gifts for me

I'm not really an x-mas or Hallmarky kinda holiday person.

But if you like crazy weird music (punk/hardcore), I could make YOU a super-cool mix tape! =8^)

Well geez, you only gave us four days to respond! :) Don't be so upset, hun.

Goodness, it's amazing how similar we all are in some respects. o_O I too must claim most of the above reasons, plus the addition that I might not receive it since I'm moving between now and Christmas and I don't trust our post office forwarding system, but E-cards are always welcome. ^_^
