It feels like everytime I'm feeling getting somewhere in my life where I could possibly be happy. Something always comes along and stops it.

This time it's with my new job.

Not a job. A career.

I found out today that this is something that I could be fucking great at. This is something that I was born to do. A natural talent that I posess.

And now, I may not be able to continue. The fate lays in the hands of my grandma and the conversation I'm going to have with her tonight.

I have to pay for the training I'm going to receive. And it isn't cheap. It will all be refunded after I've been at the dealer for 90 days.

Fuck.

All I keep doing is crying.

Frustrating makes me break easily.

How much is the training?

And does this mean you don't get a penny of salary until it's completed? If so, I think you might want to apply to a few other sales jobs, if sales resonates for you. Starving you for 90 days and making you pay for it is NOT a good thing to be doing.

Ahh, okay. Well, that's marginally better then - and at least they *will* refund it to you. Did you manage to work things out with your grandma?

Careful hon. A lot of those places will tell you you're great, then make you pay for training knowing you'll wash out long before they've paid you back. Consider it from a wise man's point of view. If they *REALLY* thought you (that's cosmic you-not Jessica per se)were worth the training, why wouldn't they just pay for it?

Sometimes they'll even really make you feel like you are the big bad in order to lure you in, telling you how much talent and aptitude you have.

I'm not saying it *IS* a scam, but it has definite scam-like qualities and scam potential.
