Welp.
It's Saturday night. And well, to be blunt, I'm FUCKING tired.
It's been a long long LONNNNNG week.
So I finally got my emotional release. It happened at work.
Some random person had found a very small kitten at their work and dropped it off saying that it looked like it was about to die. So we took it in to be euthanized. ( Now granted. Witnessing these things is part of my job. And I have to learn to deal with them. We'd already had like 3-4 Euthanasias that day so I was already pretty tapped emotionally. ) So the poor little thing was maybe a month old and was meowing ever so often. It looked very very unhealthy. But was still struggling.
So it got taken into the back and I examined it with one of the vets who said that it was suffering and about to die and that putting it down was what was best. I agreed and walked out of the room. I promptly sat down in the receptionist area and started to bawl my eyes out. I felt so horrible for this little kitten. I can handle older animals being put down because they've lived long and fulfilling lives. But when it's babies that haven't even had a chance it tears me apart inside.
So while I was crying a couple of the other receptionists were calming me down and someone came in and said they were going to try and save it. I guess what had happened is when they when to put it down it started meowing rather rapidly as if it was trying to prove it wanted a chance. So I went back in the back and saw there were a lot of people helping the little kitten.
Sadly, it died this morning. But I felt better because at least they had tried. Poor little baby.
Along with the shitty news of my roommate deciding to move out in the BUSIEST month of my life which gives me like NO time to find a roommate. My tire decides to run out of air in Berkeley. Yay. So that might be a possible slow leak. And when I got home my computer was fucking up. So yay. Shit on my a little more why don't ya? ( Thanks Aron for helping me fix one of my comp. problems )
But in lighter news. I got the haunted house job. And they're going to pay us more money. All in all it comes to a little over 800 dollars. SO!
IF ANYONE WANTS TO WORK AT THE HAUNT THEY STILL NEED ACTORS!!! LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION!!!!

tidus for the last couple days and it seems his phone is off. Which is odd because he's addicted to his cell phone and it's always on. So I hope nothing's wrong. If anyone knows anything, info would be great.

Sep. 27th, 2005 02:18 pmUgggg ok. So it's about 2something on Tuesday. I had school today which wasn't bad. Found out that my History of the Theatre teacher thinks the class is as boring as the students think it is. Which is nice. So maybe he'll do something to make it more interesting.
I got about 4 or so hours of sleep last night so I'm barely creeping along the functioning like a human/big drooling idiot border. :) I was up all night hanging out with the newest addition to my friend-base, Chris. (a.k.a.tidus). It was lots o' fun.
So I went to court yesterday and dealt with that lame ass 3 hundred and something dollar ticket I got for running a red light in Emeryville back in June while taking Loren to work.
I opted to do community service. I have to do 36 hours before March of next year. And I told them I wanted to do it with the Berkeley Humane Society. So that's what I'm going to do.
By the way. Mack the Knife. Best. Song. Well ok, not ever. But good. Nonetheless.

Chris was super lovey to the kitties last night so now they're even more needy as usual. :) That's all I need when I wanna sleep: " MOMMMMMYYYY!! PET US NOW!!! "
I have SO MUCH to do and so little time to do it in. I have to, oh hell. I don't even want to think about it.
Wow. I'm sitting here trying to think what to write and I came the realization that my life isn't really all that interesting anymore :) It's just work/school/work/school/eat/sleep/repeat.
Anywho. I'm gonna eat my bowl of Fruit Loops and take a nap.

Day 3 of work.
So I enjoy it.
I got to hold a kitten yesterday and blow dry it after a bath that was literally the size of my cell phone when it's flipped open :)
It was so cute, I took a picture of it :)
I'm in that sort of ackward stage of sort of knowing the duties of my job but still don't know much. So I find myself just sort of standing around a lot. But I try to help out where I can.
Everyone is way cool and I already knew a few people from my High School days.
But oh man. It's lookin like I'm never going to be able to sleep in again.

I'm now working very happily at the Vet! YAY! :) And they're willing to work with the haunted house schedule if I get the job so woo for that.
I got a nifty little nametag with little hearts, paws, and bones on it in red and blue alternating colors.
I got to see lots of intersting things including various surgical proceedures.
And part of my job is filling vaccines and getting them ready for techs and doctors. As if I didn't have enough to do with needles in my life already, right?
And jesus, the way people wave those things around, it looks like they're waving around a martini at a cocktail party. Poke someone's eye out with that thing....

Anyone in the Concord area with a car and no work today wanna hang out?
I really do NOT want to stay here.
So after much thought I dropped my Bio class.
I'm still taking a whopping 13 units. So I'm not really complaining. I got jack shit for my book. Shocker.
I'm going to inform the vet whom I have a working interview with this friday that 2 more days on my schedule have free'd up.
So hopefully I'll get to work those days should I get the job. Which means more money. Which means food. Which = Happy Jessica. Yay.
Now. Here's a fun fact...
Over the weekend Loren and I auditioned for Gyro's 3D Fear Factory Haunted House in SF. They liked the whole group who auditioned and asked everyone to go to callbacks. Which is a good thing.
So if all goes well I'll have a month long second job working 4 days a week ( evenings ) scaring the crap out of people for 3-4 hours a night. And making 650 - 700 bucks.
Which I will promptly blow on a trip with Loren. mwahhaha. ha. hah ha.
Other than that. my life is boring.
Johanna- I still need to give you your surprise.
Alison - We still need to make plans to hang out.
