For the love of...
May. 27th, 2008 07:02 pmToday, a girl in my class got her cellphone taken (with a little bit of necessary force ) away because she was texting.
The first day of class the teacher explained that if she caught anyone texting or using a phone in her class, she'd take it away because it was disrespectful.
Instead of just admitting she was wrong and shaping up, the girl proceeded to argue with the teacher.
And later, they argued in the hallway outside of class during the break where the girl said she was going to drop the class because of the way the teacher treated her.
It warms my heart to know that I'm throwing down 75K to go to high school.
I weep for the future and I have a growing disgust for the youth of america.

May. 23rd, 2008 02:17 pmEarth Girls are Easy FTW! :)
Holy crap. Just watching the FX on this movie makes me laugh and slightly happy with the advancements we've made since then.
I hope everyone has a fun weekend at con.
Not much going on with me. Just working this weekend.
I have a crapton of free time these days since I'm only working 3 days a week and my classes are only 3 hours a day m-f.
I'm doing some side work for a friend at school. She asked me to design some logos for her so I'm working on that.
Also, I'm going to use this free time to get my room in order. Finally. I've lived there a month and I only have the basics unpacked.
Alright... back to the movie.

The state of stuff...
May. 15th, 2008 01:43 amHi!
Wowee... Things are hectic right now.
I finished my podcast. Got great feedback on it! My group members agreed that I deserve full credit.
Also, I finished at like 7:30am the day it was due, went home, slept, slept past my alarm, woke up 5 mins before class was due to start, raced to school, showed up in my pj's right on time :)
I'm here all night tonight finishing my flash site. Yay.
And tomorrow is finishing my history report.
Big news!
I switched majors today. I'm now and forever shall be a Motion Graphic Design student! YAY!!!
I'm soooo excited!
I've come to realize that the Animation program at my school doesn't really do crap in terms of teaching visual FX and that the MGD program offers way more options in terms of creative freedoms, diversity in projects, and job opportunities.
Plus. I LOVE making logos and stuff like that :)
And I have family in the industry already.
Yay :)
Not much else going on.
I got a new toaster oven today for my place and my uncle is ordering me a fridge so I can finally have my own food!
It's almost the end of this term.
New classes next week. Science and Geometry.
I'm quitting Starbucks at the end of the next term so that I can focus on my core classes. Drawing bootcamp to be exact.
Other than that. Not much else going on.

Updates...
May. 12th, 2008 04:36 pmFirst off, a BIG Happy Birthday! To my cousin, Maya :)
So.. I just got off the phone with my rental company for my apt. and let them know the situation. I also told them that I would be getting a large amount of money from my school in about a week and a half or so and that I would be willing to pay any late fees for my rent check not going through.
They seemed really understanding and thanked me for letting them know so they're going to call me back and let me know what's up.
So. Yah. I've come to the realization that in terms of working groups you can't count on some people at my school. My group members flaked on me... again.
The one person who was going to be there texted me 10 mins before he was due to be there telling me he wasn't coming.
So it's all on me now. Alone. And you know what? That's fine. It's going to be fucking awesome and if it sucks in any way I'll let the teacher know the situation.
Did I mention it's due by 1pm tomorrow and I have to work tonight?
So.. yeah. All nighter it is.
Well.
Not much else going on.
Also, thanks to Ron and Sarah for being so freaking awesome for buying me food, gas, and groceries. Total lifesavers.

Unreliable.
May. 7th, 2008 11:54 amI'm seriously aggravated with my Living in a Media World group. I feel like I'm the one doing all of the work.
One group member lives in San Jose and can NEVER be there when we work outside of class time. The other one comes outside of class but doesn't really do anything.
All of our stuff is due next tuesday!
Ug. :(
This shit isn't that hard. Why does it have to be such a pain in the ass to get it done?
Whatever. I'll pull as many all nighters as I friggin' have to I guess.
