Yah. I REALLLLY didn't need my car to break down on the side of the road on 880 South. I was 1/2 a mile from my exit.

I was alone.

It was 11:00pm.

No cell phone.

I was lucky enough to park 10 feet away from the call box before my car died.

Unlucky enough to have to wait well over an hour for the tow truck guy due to a miscommunication between the tow truck driver and CHP. One thought the other was ther so neither showed.

I don't know what's wrong with it. My first guess is that it just needs oil.

I'm PRAYING that it just needs oil.

My only saving grace out of all of this is that my boss paid me today instead of tomorrow and I managed to get my check cashed 5 mins before Wells Fargo closed.

But the best part is, I get to miss the first day of my new class/term tomorrow.

Fuck.

Ah well.

Shit happens. We deal with it.

Please just be that it needs oil.

Yah it didn't smoke or anything. It just sort of lost power and died.

I was thinking that too. And they're not super expensive to replace either, so that's not so bad.

I don't think it is because if the alternator was dead the car would even try to start. It would click with the key turned.

It has oil so my friend is guessing it's the fuel pump.

Which she said isn't too bad either to replace.
