YAY!
I'm finally gonna do it!
Also.. I know that if I don't I will not get it done today. Or ever. :)
So here we go.
We slept in and got some general things done. Laundry. Oil Change. Gas. Etc.
We finally got on the road around 6pm and sat through awesome commute traffic for a long while.
We switched. Ate. Drove. Drove. Drove. Drove. Etc.
We finally got to the hotel around 1am.
We checked in and went to bed.
We woke up early so we could be there when the park opens. We got there a little after but it was fine :)
We went on a couple of rides with little to no wait because there wasn't a lot of people there that early.
We got in line and went on the Haunted Mansion. As we got inside we were told that we had just won in the Year of a Million Dreams Contest!!! :)
We thought we were going to get some like free trip or something huge :) Our group all got... wait for it.... YEAR OF A MILLION DREAM LANYARDS!!! :) With pins on it! :)
I guess you can't buy these anywhere so they're totally rare :) Which is cool :) And funnily enough.. I was standing in line about 10 minutes prior at Pirates and I told my friend Wendy: " I think I'm going to buy a lanyard while I'm here to use for my I.D. at school... " :)
Well... guess I didn't need to buy one :)
We spent the rest of the day wandering around and doing on a million rides.
We had dinner at the Blue Bayou. Which after eating there a second time, I've decided just isn't really worth it. I mean yah. The " experience " is cool. But I've done it and now I don't need to waste $50 bucks for dinner ever again there. : )
We were there for about 16 hours because we stayed til the park closed. We were exhausted and our feet hurt.
We saw all these people with these little Rascal scooter things. And we decided that if it was affordable that we were going to use those the next day.
We got home and passed out around 1am.
We woke up early and checked-out. We went and ran a couple of errands and got to the park a little after it opened.
( now... if you're keeping track. We've averaged about 5-6 hours a night and so far have had a 16 hour day. Can we say tired? Yes. Yes we can. )
We got to the park and got our scooters.
Oh my god. Those things are AWESOME!!
So it's like... $35 for the day. You don't have to walk. AND they let you cut in lines with them. ( Not all lines but a good lot of them. ) Plus, you get your own section at shows and things too. CRAZY!
I didn't feel like a total asshole because Wendy limps a little bit from something that happened when she was a kid and I know that another 16 hours of walking would have killed her. So we were good :)
We rode a million different things. Saw as many shows as possible. And had an overall awesome time! :)
We stayed until the park closed and left.
Afterwards, we hunted down an all night wal-mart so wendy could get an ipod charger for her car so we would have something to listen to.
And then we got on the road to drive home.
Needless to say. Yes. We made it home.
But holy crap. I'm WAY too old to do this stay up all night and drive home switching every now and then thing. I'm flying next time.
I swore we were gonna die if we didn't make it home in the time that we did.
We left around 1am and got home at 9am because of early morning traffic in tracy/livermore.
ug.
But overall. The trip was awesome. I feel re-charged and ready to take on the world! :)
Short Version: Trip was awesome. I won stuff. Rode around on Rascals. Drove home. Yay :)
In other news:
I got my first term grades back. You're looking at a 4.0 student! That's right! I got an "A" in both of my classes! :)
I started my new term yesterday and good god I already have a shitton of homework to do today.
So yah. I'm gonna go get ready for the day and get started on that.
A classmate called me this morning to let me know his dog passed away because he was hit by a car. So I told him I'd swing by during his break inbetween classes and hang out with him for a bit. So I may take my homework and just work on it there while I wait for him to get out of class.
( I always work better at school )
Also, I need to finish revamping my resume and start lookin' for a job.
I wish everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
And I hope that I can hang out with you people soon! :)
