Doot doot dee doo...

I ended up not going to the Starry Plough. I tried though... trust me. I called a few people and tried to set something up but alas. Nada.

I ended up just hangin' out at my school and then heading over to my work. I bugged my co-workers for a little bit, got a couple of free drinks ( woot! ), and then decided to go and bug Angelica for a bit. We ( Angelica, Casey *the gf*, and I ) hung out at the restaurant for a little while just chatting and then we went and got some Carl's Jr.

Good times. I always enjoy hanging out with them.

Afterwards, I headed home and went to bed.

I swear this day seemed way more exciting :) Maybe I should have added a few BANG! POW! WHAM! things to it. :)

Today I have class til 4 and nothin' planned after.

In lecture, we watched clips from a few cool movies. We were discussing the important of sound in a movie as well as the importance of color tone and saturation. Pretty good stuff. I had a shit ton of editing to do today in lab which should be... fun. :)

I'm hoping my w-2's come soon because I REALLY want to do my taxes and get my refund ASAP. It's killing me that people always wait til the last damn minute to send out the w-2's.

I want it to be Faire/Fair Season.... I guess I've always been more fond of the second half of the year. The weather.. the events... the feeling of it. I'm just not a Jan - Jun person.

I don't have a Valentine this year. It's the first time in... probably 5 years that this is the case.. I was thinking about Valentine's Day last year.

If anyone recalls, last year made me one of the best GF's evAr!

It was nearing Valentine's Day and I was racking my brain to figure out what to get Mike. And then it dawned on me to check out Flogging Molly's tour dates to see if they'd be playing any time soon. ( FM is one of his all time fav. bands. )

They were playing at the end of Feb. in L.A. and I tried to buy tickets. Sold Out. They had put tix on sale in Dec. and so the hunt began. I ended up buying tickets from Ebay at 4x the original ticket price. ( Tix were $20 bucks a pop. You do the math. Plus shipping. ) We stayed at Missy's place in San Diego so we didn't have to get a hotel. I surprised him by telling him that we were taking a trip to So. Cal to see his fav. band for V-day.

And then on V-day I bought him some little things ( candy, flowers, card, etc. ) and decorated his computer desk with them to surprise him when he got home from class.

Go me.

Ah well. I enjoyed doing it. Even if the outcome of that whole... situation.. sucked.

Life goes on and so do I.

I'd like to have a Valentine. But obviously, I'd rather it be something special instead of some pity date.

And on that note. I've got lab to get to.

Alright then.

So our rough cut is edited and exported as a quicktime movie to the main MSV server.

We'll be watching the rough cuts in class on Thursday.

I think my school is funny sometimes.

It's sort of the like the staircases in Harry Potter. Always changing.

Today I was walking down one of the main hallways and there was one of the maintenance guys painting it Orange.

The wall was Yellow. Looked fine. And he was just... painting it.. orange.

I just shrugged and kept walking.

Soooo many colours.
