Me.

So want to know a little known fact about me?

I will NEVER stay somewhere where I feel even the slightest bit unwanted.

I only have to be told once ( no matter what the context is ) that I'm not wanted in a place and I will leave.

So.

Anyone need a roommate or know of someone with a need for a roommate?

I can afford approx. 600 rent plus really cheap utilities or that with the utilities included.

I need internet and cable is always nice too but not required.

I'm willing to live anywhere in the east bay, sf, etc. I'd like to get away from the concord area simply because I have a hellish commute.

I work in s.f. and I do work long hours so I'm not home a lot during the day.

I spend time with friends usually on my days off out enjoying the sun.

I have a cat. He likes other cats as long as they aren't aggressive.

I'm tired of living in places where I have to keep him locked up in my room.

He doesn't like dogs but I'm sure with time and the right dog that could change. But who knows.

I want to feel like I'm living in a shared living space. A community if you will. Not a dictatorship where I'm going to get bitched at for " coming and going as I please. " I'm almost 23 years old. I am allowed to come and go as I please.

I want to live in a household where I don't feel tension because I feel like I can't talk to other members in household. I want open communication.

I want to live where the chores are divided and done fairly and constantly.

I'd prefer to live with people over the age of 25 but if proven to me my roommates are mature and adult, age is not an issue.

Since my move has come at a rough time and is a bit of a shock I can't afford a deposit right away but I am willing to pay one over time.

I'm also willing to share food/cooking responsibilities.

I have a car so parking is sort of important.

And I'd like a fairly large room just because I've got a lot of things. My bed is a queen size if that gives you an idea.

I'm fully willing to share a bathroom.

Also, in home laundry would be nice because I don't always have the extra 10 bucks to run to the laundrymat. But if not, I can make it work.

I don't care if people are men, women, gay, straight, martian, etc.

As long as we get along. I'm fine.

So. Pass this on to anyone who may be looking for someone or if you have any leads, please let me know.

Thanks.

- Jessica.

P.s.

Please bear in mind I've moved at least 5 times in the last year alone and I really want to just find somewhere I can settle in and call home for at least a year. It's stressful to feel like you never have a home and feel like you never will. I'm willing to live alone so that too is an option. So this next move is important to me.

You know....you could get your own little place in my building for that much--even half that much. I don't know if there's anything availible but the prices out this way for rooms aren't that expensive.

Anyway out this way, certainly there's rooms for those prices. I don't know of any specifics, though.

What DiceDork said. Seriously.

There is nothing to compare to having your very own place.

There are tons of studios around - and there are some great deals if you can prove your income is below a certain amount.

Check out craigslist. Consider the peninsula and San Jose, you won't have the over-the-bridge commute to worry about anymore.

Good luck, hun.

I don't know how much it costs, but look into "Roomate Referalls" in the city. I remember that being the best route for finding a room in/around the city itself. Lots of college students, but some adults, too.

Good luck!

I'm about to be looking for a roommate, but I'm in Concord, and cats are a big big no no.. and that's at least a month + away. I'd check craigslist, and look for places on Treasure Island - there's almost always an ad or two there, right in your price range. good luck!

thanks for thinkin of me but I found a place and you're right concord and no kitty are a bad combo. Treasure island though pretty is always pricey and is in the middle of nowhere in terms of grocery stores and such. Thanks again tho :)
