Status: From Bleh to Fucked.

God-fucking-damnit.

It's begun again.

The wave of shitty things happening all at once has begun it's path upon Jessica.

So check it out.

My cell phone got shut off, again.

I was trying to sleep and one of my friends called at like 11-something last night. So I ignored it and tried to sleep.

Then I got a text msg from Sprint saying my phone had been shut off. That my balance was $190.00.

Fuck.

I hate this shit. I just paid $90 dollars to my bill last week!! It's a brand new billing cycle!! How is it already shut off and at $190.00?!?!?! It feels like I just can't get ahead of things.

I swear to god.

So yah, Remember my previous post? Well up the amount a bit.

I need to borrow :: edit:: $100.00 :: edit :: to get my phone turned back on. I get paid on the 1st and the 15th and can pay whoever back on those dates.

Help.

I'm afraid I can't help you out *That* much.

Maybe you should port the number to another (cheaper) plan like that $30/month unlimited-bay-area-minutes plan? I know their customer service reeks, but it's cheap!

It's not that type of thing. My bill every month is only 80 dollars.

The reason it's so much is because I went over last month and they carried over the balance and already totalled up my bill for this month and added them together.

I have a spending limit of $125.00.

And well, obviously, it went over that.

So my bill is normally HIGHLY affordable. It's just because I went over last month they carried over the stupid amount.

do you really NEED a cell phone between now and the first? That's not a survival issue, like food or gas, that's a convienence.

I have a few good books on budgeting if you want...

[identity profile] sproutchk.livejournal.com 2004-06-21 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Actually I do. It's my only real means of communication with people since I don't use the computer when I'm not at work and since I'm never home I do actually NEED my cell phone.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm ok.

It's not a matter of budgeting it's because of something that happened with my bill last month that got carried over. I just didn't realise they'd already have my monthly total so quickly plus what carried over.

it's budgeting. If you bills aren't roughly what you expect, it's a budgeting issue. Instead of running from crisis to crisis, puttng out financial emergencies, why not attack the root cause?

[identity profile] sproutchk.livejournal.com 2004-06-21 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ryan. Trust me. This is the first time it's been an issue.

I budget just fine.

What happened in this case is this:

I went over my minutes last month. Sprint has a spending limit of $125.00.

I paid my bill last month. The amount I didn't pay carried over.

Then they charged my usual monthly amount, which I didn't know they did so quickly after the billing cycle started, and added it to the carried over amount.

I thought I had more time.

That's all the the issue is.

It's not a crisis to crisis issue.

And truthfully I didn't even expect help from anyone. I just thought I'd ask, the worst that would happen is people would say no or just not respond.

ok. just trying to help. I'm not trying to attack you.

Most people can't budget.

No worries, didn't see it as an attack. And I appreciate the advice.
