Comprehension.

There's something in this world that annoys me and makes me more furious than most things.

People with low self-esteem.

Now, before you fly off that handle. Hear me out.

People with low self-esteem is something that I have never been able to comprehend. Why do people feel the need to argue with you with you tell them they're beautiful? Why do people go ask someone else's opinion when you tell them they look good in an outfit?

It's infuriating!

I meet people all the time who are terrified of attention. Or who have no self-esteem whatsoever. And I just don't get it!

I have friends who I tell on a DAILY basis they're attractive and they still say things like: " Psh, whatever. " or " Yah right, that's not true and you know it. " and I just want to grab them and shake them while screaming, " Look at you! You're beautiful! You're skinny! You're amazing! What is wrong with you?! What awful person or people have made you think this way about yourself?!! "

I don't blame the people with the low self-esteem. If I were to " blame " anyone. It would be those around them that put these people in that mindset.

I feel everyone should be complimented when the thought arises. I NEVER hesitate to compliment someone if I feel they have something that's note-worthy.

I dunno. I feel like if I type about this much longer I'm going to just ramble.

But here's a note. If I compliment you. Don't argue with me about it!!

Sheesh. I wouldn't waste my breath on the words if I wasn't telling the truth.

Right on!

It took me a long time (most of my life, really) to learn that habit, but it's one of my favorites, now. There's nothing like seeing the smile on someone's face - by they friend or stranger - when you pay them a compliment. ;)
