Improv type o stuffs :)

Alright ya'll! It's been announced ( for those of you who read britgeekgrrl's lj >

That I am wanting to do a single day improv class. If it seems popular and people look like they want more I will expand it to be either a montly or bi-monthly event.

Right now.

I want to know how many people are interested. That's how I'll determine venue and other factors. ( types of games played, etc. )

What my class will consist of:

Introduction and warm-ups: To kill inhabitions and loosen up

Schedule: I'm going to do a run down of what we're going to do and why

Games: Dependant on number of people we will play various theatre and improv games. After each game we'll talk about it and critique briefly as well as advise on possible things to work on.

Break

More games

Closing: We're gonna do a re-cap of what we learned. How people felt about the class. What people think of doing more classes. And the things people can improve on.

This invitation is for ANYONE who likes improv or is interested in trying it. This will include LJ people, my theatre class, CAST, word of mouth, etc. Feel free to tell friends and family. IF you find out someone is interested either you or they can contact me. But PLEASE don't forget to tell me.

I would like a fairly large class and the sooner I know the better.

CLASS PARTICIPATION IS MANDATORY UNLESS STATED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS!!!

This means no sitting there watching because you're " just not feelin' it. "

If you don't want to participate.. and just want to watch for a while. Just tell me ahead of time.

Not feeling it is no fun, embarrassing (says she who did a mime workshop once and fell on her ass with "not feeling it").

Anyway, am interested but my schedule is nuts (and I live in SoCal), so whatever date you'll decide, I'll just see whether or not I can make it. Otherwise, maybe next time.
