Welcome to school! :/

I remember once, tim's books cost about $400. History is not the major to go with if you don't have a lot of $ for books.

Some suggestions:
*Buy used if you can. If the bookstore at your school doesn't do this, or they're out, there may be a place where students post ads selling their books from previous quarters.

*Check if there are alternate bookstores, like a student run co-op. On campus stores often mark way up.

*Try powells.com or alibris.com. They often have a lot of textbooks (although I don't know about language stuff), and it's usually cheaper than a campus bookstore, even when you add shipping.

*See if your school's library has any of your textbooks on reserve. If there's a book that you only need for a couple of hours every week, it's worth it.
