Had class at 9am.

Hanging out with Dave and doin' Karaoke tonight.

Class at 9am tomorrow.

Doin' comedysportz tomorrow night.

Work at 7am on Saturday.

The greatest bed EVAR!!

( I actually saw it in person at the Costco in San Jose and took pics but I'm too lazy to upload them. Plus at the costco I went to.. it was only $800 instead of the $1400 listed on the site. hmm. They also have 4 other pieces of furniture to go with it to complete the room. )

I just kind of realized how much I miss certain people right now.

Not naming.. just going to keep that to myself.

But honestly. I'm sure they know who they are.

Well... ok.. so I woke up late :)

Just work today. 4-midnight. I'm looking forward to it. I LOVE my job :) Today I'm going to hand out mug awards to everyone I worked with last night and to my managers.

First I'm going to thank my managers for being so awesome and for hiring me.

Then, I'm going to award my co-workers from my shift yesterday because they were all AWESOME and made it VERY clear that if I needed ANY help or anything at all, they were readily available. And kept asking if I was ok about every 10 mins or so. Which was a very nice feeling.

Normally, I've always been trained via the, " Ok, you got it? GREAT! :: giant boot to the ass :: you're on your own! " method.

I really really like my job. Have I said that yet? :)

I start new classes tomorrow which I'm always excited about. This time around, it's just a continuation of the class I've been taking so it's not like I get to meet anyone new. Ah well. But it'll still be nice to move on from the harder stuff in the movie making process.

I had a really long talk this morning with my grandma. Sort of a, " Where did we come from? " talk. It turns out that I'm primarily Irish and German. I need to talk to my aunt to figure out a portion of the rest. My grandma was 3rd generation in terms of being born here and her great-great grandparents were immigrants from Ireland. And her dad was German. So on.. so forth.

It was nice to kind of figure a few things out. I'll probably never really know my full heritage just because my dad was adopted and he and I have never spoken so I don't know if I'll ever know that part of my history.

I guess I decided to ask her because I woke up this morning and was sort of just mulling through random things in my head. The mug awards, a project I want to do when I learn mocap and matchmoving w/3d animation, and how awesome all of my uncle's names are: James Michael West ( Mike was Michael James Baula.. weird huh? ), Brian Keeley West, and David Patrick West. So I just thought I'd call and see what I could find out.

She told me the last names of her side of the family. Can we say, hella irish? Yes. HELLA Irish. So that's cool n stuff.

Alright. I need to get ready for work but I hope everyone is well. I need to write down my project idea.

Today was an insider's day at school. It's a day off from school but we're required to attend the lectures or whatnot given by industry professionals and such which is awesome to listen to and also gives us a chance to network. Today's guests ( 4 of them ) were all alumni from Ex'Pression. Suh-weet! :)

One guy has worked on Transformers, Matrix revolution, Episode 3, etc.etc.etc. And is now an Animator for ILM

Guy 2: Works solely for Dreamworks and is now doing work on Madagascar: The Crate Escape

Guy 3: Interned at Pixar, Worked at Perpetual before Gods and Heroes got cancelled, etc.

Guy 4: Works solely at the Orphanage.

When the first guy showed his reel with all of the Transformers stuff and the other bits I about cried. I was in awe. He's worked on some great stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if he worked with Geiser when he did the Matrix stuff.

I was inspired :)

Mah weekend was pretty good. Friday, I had my final in my MSV class. I don't think I did all that well. :( Then we did capturing of the footage that we filmed on the shooting days. After school, I went to San Jose to have dinner for iamradar's bday.

Saturday, I had to work at Happy Trails so I did that and went to my uncle's place after for dinner. I was exhausted so I came home pretty early, watched the second half of resident evil with my roommates, and went to bed at 9pm.

Sunday, I worked at 4:45am :) at Starbucks. Woot. The shift went rather quickly. Afterwards, I went and hung out at Dave's.

Monday was pretty chill. Just hung out with dave and ran errands. Also, cleaned the bathroom at home and my fish. :)

My schedule for the rest of the week:

Tuesday: School til noon then work 4-8pm. After work - Free

Wednesday: Free until work at 4. Work 4pm - midnight.

Thursday: School 9am - 4pm. Free After

Friday: School 9am - noon. EWAAC meeting at school to get details on event
that we're hosting. Then ComedySportz for Wendy's Bday. :)

Saturday: Work 7am - 11am. School Noon - 4pm. Free After.

Sunday: Work 10am - 3pm. Free after. :)

And then it's time for me to be done with training at work and a new work schedule to be made.

I did register all day Sunday and I mastered it easily. They thanked me a lot for being so capable of learning so quickly. I was like... are you seriously thanking me for just being smart? Dude. No worries.

So anywho. I'm gonna just hang out here for a bit and then I'll probably head home to get ready for work.

So, I'm sitting in one of the Final Cut Pro suites at school listening to the other kids from my class outside chatting. ( lab hasn't started yet )

One group just got together and I shit you not did the call thing of all the elements for Captain Planet.

He was all, " No... you have to say heart more like this.. "

I cook, play video games, etc. etc. etc. .Did I mention I'm single? :) haha :)

Ok, I'm hating this keyboard. Not that that's really all that important. I just wanted to share. :)

Today, was busy but not bad.

Work was AWESOME! I got there 2 minutes late. Eep! But! They allow a 5 minute grace period. Yay! :)

I was at work a whopping 45 minutes before they announced that it was time to throw the newbie with WAYYYYY too much confidence into the lion's den. :)

Also known as today's adventure: Jessica now has the BIGGEST EGO EVAR! because she is wicked fast at learning how to make shit at Starbucks. :)

Seriously. I've mastered a lot of drinks in just a REALLY short amount of time. Everyone was really impressed. I left with a big grin on my face. :) ( I just realized a few moments ago that I also left my stupid water bottle at work. You'd think I would have learned after the last one, eh? )

After work, I headed to Dublin. ( yes.. I drove to Ireland. Sweet. :) ) I had time to kill before my focus group so I decided to hit up Old Navy to try and wrangle a second shirt for work. And much to my pleasant surprise they were having a HUGE clearance sale. 75% off people!! :) So I got a few cheapy things. I wanted to buy more but eh... you know how that goes. :)

It was time for me to get to my group so I headed over to the place. I'd done the same group before just for a different scent so I already knew what to expect. It went pretty quickly.

I was bored so I called up Dave and we agreed to do food and Golfland!

I made good time and got to San Jose pretty quickly. We got chevy's and then went to golfland.

I just want to say.. I LOVE video games. LOVE them. We both got an unlimited games bracelet so I played non-stop for a few hours. It was AWESOME! I mean come on people.. DDR, Para-para-paradise, etc. all on freeplay. It was like heaven. :)

After that, Dave dropped me off at my car so I headed home. I popped a load of laundry in and headed to school. Which.. is where I am now. Of course :)

I'm actually here to study for my final tomorrow. So I've got the Brass Farthing CD in. I've got my notes and water. And I'm ready to study. :)

Tomorrow I have class and then I'm heading down south to Radar's bday bash :) Woot :)

Friday was the first day of shooting for our movie. It went pretty well if not totally exhausting. Playing lead and having to help with equipment whenever possible is tiring. And no one had really eaten so by the end of the 8 hours everyone was getting snippy. But all in all.. good times. dancingshaman was great! :)

Also, I had to work a little bit before the shoot so I was a little bit more tired. Blah. :)

After the shoot I headed down to San Jose and hung out at Dave's place while he went out. Passed out fairly early.

Saturday I did a fair bit of running around with Dave. Also, Missy joined us which was a lot of fun since she was in town for the weekend.

We had lunch at Sweet Tomato. Afterwards, we went to OSH where I bought an AWESOME new water bottle to replace the one I lost. This one is WAYYYYY better. :) We then headed to Barefoot Coffee and had some crazy ass coffee drinks.

I was really hyper off of that. :) After, we went back to Dave's and hung out for a bit. Missy had to leave so Dave and I got ready for Comedy Sportz.

We got there fairly early so we just hung out until the other members of our group arrived. The show was good times like usual. When it was over we went to the Mini Gourmet and missy met us there since she couldn't make the show.

And then it was homeward bound! :)

Sunday I saw Juno with Wendy which was a lot of fun. We ate at Fuddrucker's after and then I headed to work.

Today was my first day at Starbucks! YAY! :)

I drank so much damn coffee. :) And I basically did a bunch of lame online modules and read a lot of booklets. I go back tomorrow and start practice along with more online modules and booklets. Sweet.

Everyone is totally awesome at my store :) I'm actually looking forward to going back to work tomorrow. :)

When my shift was finished I headed down to Milpitas and went to Dave and Buster's with Missy and her brother. And now here I am.

Yay :)

New classes starting next week. Finals on Friday.

And that is what's a-goin' on with me :)

I should be heading home so that's what I'm going to do.

So that means my group will only have to play :: counts on fingers :: 3 roles intead of like.. um... 7 :)

Plus, if I forgot to tell ya'll, people in the movie get credited in the movie, on the movie poster, and get a copy of the movie on dvd :)
