Death is inevitable...
Well... yesterday my baby Gizmo died. She's one of my guinea pigs for those of you who don't know. She had had two surgeries basically to save her life and she ended up dying. She was suffering though and I know she just wanted it to end. I cried harder than I've cried in a long time and allen cried too... I loved her so much... and like.. I have this other guinea pig and I put up an ad on craiglist because I just can't handle having him right now... and so this is my ad:
"I am selling a male guinea pig. He's 1 years old. I can't keep him anymore because I want to get a cat. I will include a cage, bedding, food, toys, water bottle, house, food bowl, etc. He's gray and white and he's sweet. Low price and very negotible. Thanks!"
and this dumb bitch like e-mails me this response:
"You can have a guinea pig and a cat at the same time ... lots of people do. Go to www.cavycages.com and see who to make a cat-proof cage.
BTW, what happens when you want to get a dog ... you dump the cat?"
So I wrote her:
"Look. I'm a very good guinea pig owner. I spoil the hell out of my guinea pigs. I just can't deal with the heartbreak of losing one. My female just died today due to complications from surgery because I cared enough to try to save her life only to have her die anyway. I loved her more than anything. My guinea pig lives in a cage that's 4 feet by 4 feet square. So please don't try to lecture me about how to care for my animals because I put their lives before mine. So if that makes me a bad person then fine, I'm a felon but I just can't deal with the heartbreak. And I might not even get a cat, I might just not get anymore pets because it might hurt too much. So please do a little more research about a person before you judge"
and what does the bitch do? She deletes the e-mail... yah, now what... people are so fucking dumb sometimes... well.. I'm still sad about gizmo... but I'm just glad she's in a better place and not in pain. I'm debating what I want to do next... either way I want to give piggy away... male guinea pigs are trouble... I want either 2 girl baby guinea pigs.. no guinea pigs and a kitten or 2 guinea pigs and a kitten... I don't know too early to tell... ah well.. anyone want a guinea pig? :)
