ATTENTION:
DUE TO THE FACT THAT I'M POOR AS FUCK AND WON'T HAVE ANY MONEY UNTIL I EITHER
A: GET A JOB
OR
B: A MIRACLE HAPPENS AND MY STUDENT LOAN WHICH I'VE PRETTY MUCH GIVEN UP ON, COMES THROUGH IN THE LAST 2 DAYS BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS
MY CELL PHONE WILL PROBABLY BE SHUT OFF EITHER TOMORROW OR THE DAY AFTER.
I DON'T KNOW WHEN I'LL BE ABLE TO TURN IT ON BECAUSE THE NEXT 2 - 3 SETS OF UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKS ARE DEVOTED TO 2 MONTHS OF MY RENT.
IF YOU NEED TO GET A HOLD OF ME.
E-MAIL ME I GUESS.
IF I'M NEAR LOREN'S PHONE. I'LL UPDATE WITH THAT.
That is all.
And now...
Friday:
Loren and I got off to a late start but we finally hit the road to carmel. I had to do some stuff for a school project so we headed to downtown carmel so I could visit the places needed to take the pictures for my project.
After we finished with that and got to see the loveliness of carmel we went to moneterey to see the place where the wedding was going to be held. It was this pretty little park right on the water.
We went wandering around the park and climbed nearby rocks to see the water.
After that we drove back to cannery row to hang out. We swapped stories of our childhood and how we both spent time in cannery row growing up. Also, we talked about how much it had changed.
Next, we went to Salinas to check-in to our hotel, eat, and freshen up.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped at the monterey county SPCA to look at the animals. Loren feel head over heels in love with this little 3 month old male kitty. SOOOOOO CUTE!
And of course. When I'm not actually able to get another cat. The EXACT kitten that I want is at the shelter.
There was much screaming of, " JESSICA!! THE KITTEN WON'T FIT THROUGH THE BARS!! STOP TRYING!!! " followed by much pouting on my part and whining that it really wouldn't mind hanging out in the car while the wedding went on.
Followed by more pleading, pouting, begging, promises of sexual favors, and then finally the realization that I just can't have another kitty.
So I jeered at Loren for finding a kitty he couldn't have either. MWahahaha.
When we had finished eating and freshening up we headed back to where the wedding was going to be held for the rehearsal. I just hung out on the grass and watched everyone rehearse.
After the rehearsal we had dinner at the restaurant across the street from the park. Wayyyyyyyy overpriced. Loren and I stuck to desserts and salad since we'd already eaten earlier.
When dinner was over we left and went back to the hotel.
Saturday:
We woke up really early and got ready for the wedding.
We got there and helped set everything up. The flower arrangements were really pretty. The bride had a really good eye for color combos. The colors for the wedding were red and black.
Her dress was breathtaking. They were a nice couple. She'd gotten pregnant so they had already been married. And this was just the ceremony like a year later.
I thought the ceremony was really nice but was really disappointed with their choice of resturant for the reception. The way the tables were set up at this place was in such a way that the guests of the weddings who weren't family had to sit outside on this patio thing basically seperated by a wall of windows looking in on the room where the bridal party and family of the bride and groom got to sit inside at much nicer tables.
I was kinda pissed. I felt it was wrong to isolate their guests that way. Everyone outside basically stated that we were the ignored step-children or something.
But whatever, not my wedding.
So like we ate and did the reception thing. And then it was time for the throwing of the bouquet by the bride.
So like she has this bouquet made of silk roses. I think her sister or somebody made it. I dunno we couldn't hear/understand the MC.
So like she throws it. And me and this other girl catch it. There's a tug-o-war and the bouquet comes apart. I guess the bride didn't want anything to happen to this particular flower piece ( I don't know why she threw it then. ) and was like, " Don't tug on it!!! " So after it came apart, I gave my half to the other girl and went back outside.
In the flurry of fake nails I'd gotten stabbed in the hand so I was bleeding. A lot.
I felt really bad that the flowers had come apart.
Loren wanted to stay for the cake so we agreed to hang out until then.
While waiting, I was looking inside and I saw the bride's sisters like putting the flower thingy back together and rolling their eyes, etc. Essentially talking shit. Then they look at me at start talking with their hands over their mouths and making all these really bitchy faces at me.
I was like... WHAT THE FUCK!? Dood. They were talking shit about me!
So I look at Loren and was like. " The bride's sisters are talking shit about me. I want to leave. "
He saw what I was talking about and said we could go.
So then we left and drove back home to the Bay Area.
Sunday:
It was Loren's birthday.
We were both poor so we ended up just making food at home. Hanging out in out PJ's. He got a footrub.
We went to Ghiradelli in Walnut Creek and got sundaes and then grabbed some El Pollo Loco and went home.
Nothing too exciting.
So it's looking very unlikely that I'm going to get any loan money. And I have to go to this meeting next weds. to hopefully get my book voucher.
Or else I'm screwed on books.
I could buy probably all of my books on Ebay or Half.com but of course I owe ebay money so my account is suspended.
Which means I can't bid or anything until it's paid.
I'm going to have to get a job.
And if his roommates okay it. I'm going to move me and the children in with Loren.
He and I don't want to live together in such cramped quarters. We know it's a risk we're taking. But if it means approx. 250 dollars less a month on rent and other expenses. Then we have to at least try.
Who knows though his roommates could very likely say they don't want cats and then I'd have to find another option.
My unemployment doesn't cover all of my bills and it leaves me about 250+ short every month. So I have to get a job. No matter what at this point.
I'm really disappointed that either someone dropped the ball or that I didn't qualify for my loan.
Oh well.
If things don't work out. I have to drop out of school entirely and go back to working full-time.
It's the last thing I want to do. But it's still a possibility.
I'm going to have to start selling as much of my stuff for money as I can. I'm going to have a garage soon so I'll let people know when that is.
Welp.
Guess I'll go back to hunting for a job.
