I don't think you understand the intent of the letter.

She wants you to quit.

This is standard practise. She cuts your hours to the point to where you can't afford to keep the position. Much less legal risk than firing you outright.

Time to put out resumes.

One more thing. Remember:

Anything that you put in writing can be used against you in court. The best responses are short, concise responses. If ANYTHING must be written at all.

Anything another person reports about what you said is heresay.

Anything someone produces that you wrote is evidence.
