Small changes....

A friend of mine owns a salon and she's the only person that I will let near my hair these days.

I have an appointment next Friday to have my hair straightened and cut. Then if all goes well I'm going back about a week or so later to have my hair highlighted.

I'm slightly terrified. But I'm eagerly awaiting the process.

In return for the about 600 dollars or so of work that's being done to my head ( the cut and straighten are 500 alone ) I'm going to be working at my friend's salon as a receptionist in the break between semesters.

The salon is in Antioch so when I return to school it'll work well with my school schedule should my services still be needed.

So we'll see how that goes. She assures me that no one's hair has ever fallen out that she's straightened. And my hair is tough as nails when it comes to the torture I put it through when I'm feeling like I need to change myself.

I'll finally have straight hair. I'm excited :)

She said the process should take about 8-9 hours.
