Misc. updates...
Mar. 8th, 2005 09:42 pmSo...
I don't know anything about my job situation until tomorrow. Here's what's going on with that:
So basically, Hi there, I'm Jessica. I sell cars. In order to sell cars, you have to be insured by a Dealership's insurance company to DRIVE their cars. Can't drive cars = REALLY hard time selling them.
Well last Thursday I was told by my General Sales Manager that I had for some unknown reason been excluded from the dealership's insurance. He said it was based off my driving record and while they don't tell the dealership why the salesperson was excluded, they just are.
So I signed an exclusion document stating I wouldn't drive the cars. My GSM asked me what was on my driving record that could be so bad that this would happen. I told him I honestly didn't know. That I had 2 speeding tickets that I knew of and an accident that happened in like... 2002 and one in 2003. He told me to go to the DMV and get a copy of my driving record.
All that showed up were the 2 tickets. He seemed pleasantly shocked. He had explained also, on the day I was informed of my exclusion, that they aren't trying to fire me and that I had handled the transition from the internet dept. back to regular sales REALLY well for the emotional roller coaster it had put me on.
So here's a couple of scenarios:
1. They argue my driving record with the insurance company. The IC says ok fine. It's not that bad. She can drive. All is good.
2. They do all the things in number 1 EXCEPT that the IC says, " Ok. She can drive. But it's going to cost X amount more per month. " then my Managers decide if I'm worth the extra money and either keep me or let me go.
So we'll see. I should know more tomorrow.
Next,
THEY FOUND BRENT'S CAR!! WOW!! It was abandoned in a parking lot near Hilltop Mall in Richmond about 10 minutes from where we live. So I guess the stereo was taken, duh. But he's getting the car back tomorrow. WOO GO RICHMOND PD! :)
Next,
Ok. So. Death Guild was lame last night. No one really showed. 'Nuff said. I *might* try and make it for my final time for a while next week but I don't know yet. Have to see what's going on. Loren's going to Europe in about a month so I might just take that night to spend what little time I have with him. So we'll see. Maybe I'll drag him with me again. :: evil grin ::
So yah...
Not much else going on. My apartment was finally cleaned thanks to the help of the WONDERFUL AND TALENTED Loren :) He rocks :) I Heart him.
