Mah trip trip TRIIIPPPP :)
Woo woo :)
So I dropped Loren off at work and cashed my refund checks and headed over to Concord. Met up with Ryan and Johanna and we loaded all the stuff into the car. We then headed over to walnut creek to drop off my car so Alex could use it over the weekend :)
Then it was to long's for snacky goodness!
That's when the journey began!
So we hopped on 5 and DROVE!!!
.... and drove....
and drove....
ooo potty break and mcdonald's!!....
more driving...
L.A.!! WE DUN ARRIVED!!
So we checked into the hotel and rested for a bit. We all freshened up and Johanna and I got all pertyfied.
Then it was on to SANTA MONICA!!!!
Santa Monica is the bomb, yo! Helllllla pretty... and the eye candy is well.... ya know... :)
So we ate dinner at the King's Head Pub....I had a big ol glass o' Guinness with no food in my stomach. The world... was amusing to Jessica at this point :) Then we wandered around... took shameless touristy pics.... and watched Moulin Rouge. It was slightly disappointing because it wasn't like Rocky Horror Picture Show with the audience participation ( there were people singing along ) and like.. the floor show. It was was literally a midnight screening of the movie.
So we got home and spent about 30 minutes lying in bed discussing Jimmy Hoffa... woo man. Were we tired :)
End o' day 1.
We all woke up at about 10:30... No hangovers.. YAY!! :)
We got ready and then headed over to Little Tokyo!! HAI!
When we arrived I Went to this cool little anime store and bought some manga and a boxed dvd set of all of Studio Ghibli's movies! :) ( those are the people who made my neighbor totoro, spirits within, kiki's delivery service, etc. ), then we had lunch, I bought origami paper, some japanese candy, and then we went to the Japanese American Museum... it was beautiful!! The Exhibits were awesome! I bought 2 shirts, koi flags, japanese dice (I am SUCH a geek... ), a little monkey flag thingy and then we were on our way back to Santa Monica!!
See the reason we went to Santa Monica again was because I bought a shirt from Puma on friday and it didn't fit so I had to return it...
THEN IT WAS ON TO THE GAME!!!
We watched a Dodgers v. The Expos game at Dodger stadium :) It was schweet!! The whole experience itself was unbeatable... or so I thought...
After the game ( the dodgers won ) they let everyone onto the field to watch an AWESOME fireworks display... I thought Ryan was gonna need new underwear after the look of COMPLETE happiness and bliss that was on his face :) I bought a personalized bat for loren :)...
So we headed back to the parking lot and waited for some of the crowds to filter out.
Then we drove back to hotel, stopping by rite aid so I could get chapstick and a glasses repair kit to fix my sunglasses.
Went back... and passed out...
End o' day 2!
We all woke up and got ready... packed... and headed back to... you guessed it! SANTA MONICA!!! :)
We ate breakfast at the pub and left for home.
We drove......
....and drove.....
.... tried to find Harris Ranch. Took the wrong exit.. Drove AROUND harris ranch..
.. kept driving....
Stopped at pea soup anderson's for dinner...
.. switched drivers...
MADE IT HOME!!!
Got home... lugged my crap up to my room... and collapsed on my bed :)
Cleaned up my room a little bit... Frank came over and we ate, talked, and he fixed my computer because he is the MAN!!! :)
And then I booted him out and went to sleep :)
End o' Day 3 and the trip!
Best.... weekend... EVER!!!
