Well, I'm all caught up on LJ. Good times. :)

It's almost 1am. I'm.. at school. Naturally.

I only meant to be here a short time but I just ended up hanging out with people and looking at stuff and now it's almost 1am and I'm finally getting around to my homework. I'm also.. freaking exhausted!

Oh well.

It's been a so-so week.

Tuesday: I went to class and hung out with britgeekgrrl for a bit. We grabbed some food and chatted a bit. good times :) I hope she has a fab. time in the UK :)

After, I went home and chatted on the phone for a little bit and then literally went to bed around 9pm. I was tired but also, I just knew I didn't have to wake up early on Weds. so I just decided to get a HUGE block of sleep. And I did. A good 13 or so hours of sleep.

Weds.: I woke up and went to work. I worked til 5:30 and went to Angelica's restaurant after. I went and ran some errands with her GF, Casey. When we got back, Rachael ( my old roomie from Rodeo) and her friend Ilene were at the restaurant. So we all hung out for a bit. We decided to go out since none of us were ready to go home yet. Somehow, we ended up at the gay, latin club we go to sometimes in Oakland. There weren't a lot of people there but we still had a good time. And hey, hot girls dancing with me doesn't ever suck. :) Woot.

I got home pretty late and passed out. Woke up this morning for class. Dave came by to do a frustrating round of ADR (think: doing a voice-over for your own voice to make it sound better) in lab. When lab was over I had to rush to Alameda to change and head off to work.

Dave hung out and played on his laptop while I worked. The shift was only 4 hours and went quickly. When my shift was over, we grabbed dinner and then he went home and I came to school.

I got my Official Barista Certification yesterday! :) I got a nifty pin and everything :)

Tomorrow I'm done with class at noon and then have nothing to do for the rest of the day if anyone wants to hang out.

Other than that. Not much else going on. I'm just tired and need to get my work done.

I'm feeling out of it. I'm internally angry and confused about stuff. And just annoyed about other things.

My writing class ( I'm on break ) just had a discussion about people being marketed as objects. I didn't catch much of the discussion simply because I tuned them all out and just read some things out of our reader.

I'm also feeling low energy.

Oh hey. Maybe that's because all I've had today, consumption wise, was a frappacino. Hmm. I should eat.

Go me. :)

No food = brain on a rampage.

I need to go numb my bad thoughts with food :)

I got the bassy music a-bumpin' and I'm at the lab at school.

I've had my quad venti caramel macchiato with extra junk in it so I'm hyper. ( Just to break it down: 4 shots espresso, caramel, whip cream, milk. )

And I get to write a VERY short essay for class tomorrow.

I figured I'd just write a bit. Post my weekly schedule and then get to work. Yay :) Gooooo me. :)

My weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday was school n stuff.

Saturday: I had to work and then afterwards I went and hung out with Dave. I ended up just staying in San Jose since it was easier.

Today: Got dropped off at my car and went to work. Woo man. 8 hours shifts seriously take their toll after about hour 5.5. And plus, it was SUPER busy before the Superbowl started so that kept me on my feet. After that, it slowed down though. Good times.

There's this guy at my work. His name is Mike. He's pretty funny. First off, he calls me N00b. Yay.

I'm no longer Jessica. I'm just N00b. And he likes to give me shit because I'm the " new kid. "

Today though. He complimented me on my skills and thanked me for being self-motivated. That was pretty sweet.

And we're closing together both days this weekend which is cool because he knows his shit and works fast which I prefer. He's a total geek, his new daughter is named Leeloo from 5th element.

Saturday morning I was given the title, " Ninja Barista " by a friend. I thought that was awesome. :)

So now I'm three different types of ninja. Glowstick Ninja from my raving days, Ninja Flogger from my mad flogging skills at BaGG, and now Ninja Barista. I'm just not a force to be reckoned with, I suppose :)

Here's my schedule for the week:

Monday: 7am-11am. School 12-3pm. And possible hanging out with a friend.
Tuesday: School 9-4. Free after.
Wednesday: Work 12:30pm - 5:30pm. Free after.
Thursday: Class 9-4pm. Work 5-9pm. Free after.
Friday: Class 9-Noon. Free after.
Saturday: Open House 8am - Noon. Class Noon - 4pm. Work 4:30 - Midnight.
Sunday: Free all day til 7pm. Work 7:15 - Midnight.

So our rough cut is edited and exported as a quicktime movie to the main MSV server.

We'll be watching the rough cuts in class on Thursday.

I think my school is funny sometimes.

It's sort of the like the staircases in Harry Potter. Always changing.

Today I was walking down one of the main hallways and there was one of the maintenance guys painting it Orange.

The wall was Yellow. Looked fine. And he was just... painting it.. orange.

I just shrugged and kept walking.

Soooo many colours.

Just a thought. But if no plans formulate for tonight.. would anyone want to go to the Starry Plough and check out some Irish Music/Dance?

I don't even know for sure if I'm going.. just sort of throwing it out there.

I'm pretty sure the music n stuff starts at 9pm.

Anywho.

Movie got cancelled so now I really have nothing to do til about 9am tomorrow. Ug. :(

I'm doing my default activity of listening to Irish music on Pandora and hanging out at the lab searching the internet.

Boredom is me. Word.

I guess I could write about how I felt about FurCon.

When I get into anything I've never experienced, as with most people, I take on a very shy and introverted position. I don't talk much. I ask a ton of questions. I ask a ton more of the same questions to different people to see if the answers vary much.

After work yesterday, I went home and changed. I made an effort on my appearance. Make-up, hair, clothing, etc. you get the idea. I decided to wear a skirt, slip on shoes, a tank top under my sweater, and a sweater. I didn't think I'd be wearing the tanktop alone so I wore a bra where the straps were visable and didn't really match the shirt. I even wore my spanx too!

I also hung out with my roommates yesterday and talked to them while they ate the goodies I brought home from work. ( doughnuts, croissants, bearclaw, etc. )

After helping my roommate with her hair, I headed down to San Jose.

I also stopped by work and grabbed something ultra sugary and stuffed full of espresso to keep me up. ( I wasn't sleepy but I knew I would be... and it was free so yah. : ))

Dave got worried because I was taking a long time to get down to Con so he called. I knew parking at the Doubletree is hell and expensive so I asked him if I could just leave my car at his place ( he lives about 15 mins from the hotel ) and then just get a ride back later. That worked out fine.

I finally got to the Con... took a deep breath.. ( and walked inside. )

Sometimes, when I'm in class, I actually write down subjects that I want to blog about later so I don't forget them. :) Cuz I'm a dork.

It's been a busy couple of days.

Wednesday, I worked til midnight. Good times. But I got all that awesome food so it wasn't too bad. And my co-workers make it totally bearable.

Thursday, I woke up and went to class. Yay for waking up early! After class ended, I headed down to San Jose to hang out with Dave n stuff. I got there before he did so I ended up just hanging out. He showed up with some FurCon folks. They did some work that needed to be done and we all had pizza. After that it was time to Karaoke!

We went to King of Clubs for their Karaoke night. It wasn't a huge crowd but still a fun bunch. The first song I did was " Dance to the Music " by Sly and the Family Stone. Dave told me that he was surprised as hell that I could actually sing. :) Mind you.. he's the one that got tortured by listening to me try to figure out what audition song I was going to use for the movie. So he was pretty much convinced that my abilities were limited. :) Haha. But the compliment def. was pretty awesome.

My next song was " The Humpty Dance " by Digital Underground. I got everyone in that place shakin' their asses! It was great :)

As the night wore on, my voice and my body got more and more tired. I sang along with a lot of people who were performing so I exhausted myself. I did my last song " One Song Glory " from Rent and totally bombed it.

I know I bombed it and I'm fine with it. After I finished people were clapping and I was like, " Stop it! That was horrible! stop stop stop :) "

After we left I drove home.

I got home around 2am and went to sleep.

Friday, I had class at 9am. Good times. After class I went to In n Out with my buddy Blake. I also ran a couple of errands and finally got some new windshield wipers and an oil change. Yay :) Happy car!

When we got back to school I had a club meeting for the event we're putting on this Thursday. I'm hosting it! Yay! :) And it's going to be monthly so my name is gonna be plastered on posters all over the school! What ego boost? haha :)

When the meeting ended I drove down to Fremont to meet up with Wendy and Sierra. It was Wendy's birthday. We had chinese food and then went to ComedySportz.

Last night's performance was AWESOME. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. :) Everyone was spot on. Good times.

I got home pretty late again and got up this morning for work at 7am. Yay.

After work, I had lab. And now I'm done for the day with really nothing to do.

A funny thing happened in lab on Thursday. A kid in my group, patrick, and I were discussing porn for some reason. And he was remarking about where he gets his internet porn or whatever. And at one point he jokingly was like... " you know what porn is, right? " and I quipped that I was 26 years old and had NO IDEA what porn was. And then he said...

" Oh wait. You're a geek. I mean pr0n. Sorry. Sorry about that. "

I said: " Ohhhhhhhhh!! Pr0n! Now I know what you're talking about. Whew! Thanks for clearing that up. I was so confused.. " : )

Hahah :)

Good times.

Well. Work tomorrow 10am - 3pm. And I got Monday off due to scheduling conflict with class so all I have is class noon - 3pm that day.
